National Museum, San Jose

Hello everyone! I decided to give you a mini-tour of the National Museum in San Jose. Here are some photos I took in 2016.

National Museum

The National Museum was originally a military barrack built in 1917. The crosses are where the guns were aimed out of. Notice the bullet holes above and a few below the crosses.

The photos are just a small sampling of the pottery on display. Pottery dates back as early as 2000 BC.

Jewelry

Artifacts

Arrowheads

A few more items. There is a lot more to see in the museum than what I took photos of.

PrisonCell

Graffiti that prisoners carved.

Grin Mill

Grin Mill

Grin Mill, which was driven by oxen. It is the traditional way of extracting sugar cane juice.

I hope you enjoyed a glimpse of the National Museum. If you ever make a trip to San Jose, be sure to stop at the museum. It is well worth a visit.
